Surface Preparation:
Surfaces must be clean, smooth, sound, free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent and similar adhesion inhibiting substances and wastes. Surfaces must be level, weak parts must be removed. If there are cracks and pits on the application surface, they should be repaired with suitable Barkimor repair mortars. Bariston A320 application should be started 3-4 days later.
Product Preparation and Application:
Pour 4-4.5 liters of clean, clear water taken from normal ambient temperature into a clean container free from all kinds of substances preventing adhesion. Slowly pour 25 kg Bariston A-320 in powder form into the container filled with water. Mix with a low speed mixer until a homogenous mixture without lumps is obtained. Mixing time should be minimum 5 minutes. After the material reacts, do not add water and mix again. The prepared mixture should be placed in place within 10 minutes depending on the air temperature and the amount of water. BARISTON A-320 should be poured from one side to fill the bottom of the gaps that are surrounded on four sides and covered. This prevents the formation of voids by expelling air. To accelerate the flow, it can be pushed with a long piece of iron while casting from one side. The casting thickness should be between 10 – 50 mm as a layer thickness at a time. If it is to be used for filling small diameter cylindrical anchors, a preliminary test is recommended.
