Barikot Exposed Concrete Primer

It is a primer for exposed concrete surfaces, walls and ceilings to increase the workability and working time of cement and gypsum based thin plasters.

Areas of Use

It is an adherence enhancing primer used for applying plaster or thin plaster on exposed concrete, aerated concrete surfaces in interior spaces.

Application

Surface Preparation

The application surface must be dry, sound and free from foreign materials such as oil, dust, dirt, etc. that may affect adhesion. During the application, make sure that the ambient and surface temperature is between +5 °C and +30 °C. Add 5-6 kg of water into the Barikot bucket according to the desired consistency and mix with a 400-600 rpm mixer until a homogeneous and lump-free mixture is obtained. The mixing process should be repeated frequently during application.

Application

Barikot is applied with a roller. Barikot takes its initial setting quickly on the applied surface, surface strength and absorbency should be checked before application. After Barikot dries on the surface, plaster application should be started 24 hours later.
