Astar B is a conditioning primer material used on surfaces such as gypsum, plaster, plasterboard, aerated concrete, chipboard, and anhydrite screeds before the bonding process of materials like ceramics, marble, and granite. It is used to protect surfaces from humidity and prevent damage caused by rapid water absorption.

Surface Preparation

The surface to be applied must be sound, load-bearing, and completely free of harmful substances such as dust and oil. Care must be taken to ensure the application surface is dry. Any oil and paraffin residues that would reduce the surface adherence must be thoroughly cleaned.

Method of Application

The application is carried out with a normal brush or roller. Depending on the absorbency of the surface to be applied, it can also be applied in two coats.
