  • Terrace roofs
  • Swimming pools,
  • In wet areas,
  • On balconies,
  • On plaster and screed,
  • Concrete/wood interface,
  • In the formation of an adherence bridge,
  • Water tanks,

Application

Surface Preparation

Preparation of the substrate on cement based surfaces. The surface must be sound, clean, free from dirt and grease. Foreign substances such as mold oil, paraffin on exposed concrete surfaces should be cleaned from the surface. Tension bars, wooden wedges, segregation, cold joint areas should be repaired with barkim BARKİMOR. Following the repair, the surface should be wetted very well with water, after removing excess water from the surface, application should be made on the damp surface (barkiteks can never be applied on dry surface).

Application

Pour 5 kg of liquid component into a clean container. Add 5 kg of clean water on the liquid component. After stirring for a while, 25 kg of powder component is slowly poured while stirring. The mixing process continues until the lumping is over. After the mixing process is finished, it is left to rest for 5 minutes. At the end of 5 minutes, a pre-mixing is done again and the application is started.

Application Method

Application can be done by brush, roller or trowel. In brush and roller applications, a maximum thickness of 2 mm in each layer and a maximum thickness of 5 mm in trowel applications should be created. It is recommended to use an alkali resistant mesh on flimsy surfaces such as weak screed, cracking plasters. For 24 hours, the application surface should be protected from flooding and direct sunlight. The material gains its mechanical strength within 2 days and becomes waterproof after 7 days.
